What’s The Cost

Our average trip price works out to $3,499 per person. This assumes a trip-length of eight days, with double-occupancy rooms (in 3-4 star hotels). It includes breakfast, and one main challenge each day, as well as one or two challenge-related dinners. If you prefer single occupancy, and want to stay in only one part of the country, of course the cost can go down. Conversely, if you prefer 4-5 star hotels, and you’d like multiple challenges each day, or have group meals included each night, the cost can certainly go up. This price isn’t set in stone, rather it’s here to give you a sense of whether or not Etgar is right for your budget.

Our trips require a minimum of 14 people, but can accommodate ups to 25. Because these are generally private/custom trips, the specifics of each trip can be tweaked based on the groups’ needs. Please note however, the concept of the “mystery itinerary” is key to Etgar. So, while we may be able to share some specifics, a majority will be kept under lock and key.

 

What’s Included?

Transportation

From the moment you arrive at the group hotel on day one, until the end of our final challenge at the end of the trip, all transportation to/from/between all challenges and hotels will be covered. We can’t say whether it’ll be a bus, a plane, a train, a boat or something completely different, but whatever it is that gets our group from point A to point B, will be covered.

Accommodations

Of course all hotels are included, but the type of hotel is completely up to you. Generally speaking, because we only sleep, shower and eat (a quick) breakfast there each day, we try to be tad frugal when it comes to accommodation. That said, if your group prefer something with a bit more space and luxury, we are happy to accommodate those requests.

Trip-Leader / Evil-Genius

No Etgar trip is complete without their “Evil Genius”. Your trip leader will be with your group every step of the way and is there to monitor group progress, help ensure maximum connectivity, award points, initiate “insta-challenges”, and to be your point of contact for any pre/post-trip communication.

Daily Challenges

Each day, participants will be competing with, and against, their fellow co-workers. Challenges will focus on various team-building components, such as listening and collaboration, and will have the teams be pushed gently out of their comfort zones. Most (if not all) challenges will be directly related to the city or region they’re in.

Daily Breakfast

While we’re not in the food or catering business, each of our hotels will offer breakfast to our group. Most mornings we’ll be hitting the road early, so be ready to grab and go – we have challenges to compete in! 

Prizes

Depending on the size and need of the group, the prize pool can vary. But regardless of who you are, there will be prizes for the top three teams! It could be $1,000 cash, it could be round-trip flights, it could be gift cards… Who knows?! But remember when we said the points mattered? We weren’t kidding…

Notable Exemptions

    • Your transportation to the starting hotel before the trip begins, and then back home from the final challenge/hotel at the end are not included
    • While we will provide a per diem, we won’t be providing meals outside of breakfasts (and possibly one challenge-related lunch or dinner)
    • Prize (if you’d like to offer one). This can be anything from an extra day or week of vacation, to a preset donation to the charity of their choice, or anything else you’d like.
